Jon, I've given you editing power on the document if you'd like to add, clarify or suggest other alternatives.

This message boad software is much better, Not the memory hog of the last and has formatting as well as a quote function.
It lacks an edit function which is very important.
It lacks a polling feature which is perhaps more important.

Chris,
Since you were either not registered or not logged in when you made that post, you were unable to take advantage of all the features of the forum.
If you register, you should be able to edit your own posts. I believe you will also be able to create polls - but only when starting a new topic. After clicking on "New Topic", in the next screen, the ability to add a poll should be one of the checkboxes just below the message window. If you click that, it will then give you a spot to add the poll question and the various answer options to go with it.

I'll create a test account later today when I'm on the laptop and see what the options are for polls. If they're not readily available, I will, in the immortal words of Captain Picard, make it so.

I am still looking for an answer to sickay's question of June 9, "What is the process for vetting and approving potential speakers?

I am not sure we will be "allowed" to have speakers during the first 2 days of the CC. As for the final day, no sound equipment was ever obtained due to a lack of funds. So at this point, if we want to have a speaker at the outdoor festivities, we have to chip in and buy a megaphone.
We had discussed possibly inviting the Philly Mayor to be part of our opening ceremony, but I'm not even sure we can do that with the SC laying down THEIR law.
And since the remaining members of the SC refuse to have any discourse with us lowly delegates, because, apparently, they think if this is left up to us then "chaos will ensue" - which means they don't think we're capable of tying our own shoes without their instructions - it's not likely that we can ask any of them either.

Set up a ventrillo and pass it to the people that are participating so we can communicate instead of this silly typing on a forum stuff. We have to get more organized...... And we also need security that our interests will be represented instead of Pollock trying to make this his claim to fame which we are getting a little tired of. We would like this to be put into someone else's hands instead of someone who wants us to work for him and would like to establish ourselves in good hands with anti corruption pledges of our board members and consequences if they do not serve the purpose this was designed to do. So far I dont even know if everyone knows where this is being held.... Get it together or were screwed.

Dear Delegates, Matt, et al:
i won't be able to attend but want to highlight one over-arching grievance/solution:
THERE NEEDS TO BE A SEPARATION OF COMMERCE & STATE AS DEFINITIVE AS THAT BETWEEN CHURCH & STATE.
our Republic will not survive without this; i'm surprised we made it this far. but without a separation between moneyed interests and all legislation & legislators, we are doomed to uphold a plutocratic banana republic.
anything less than that is inequitable, shortsighted & unsustainable. we also need to move fast on a 3rd party for independents, by and for the people; and we should impeach or bring criminal charges against almost all of Congress & half the SCOTUS for dereliction of duties, betraying the Constitution, their oath, and the American People in order that the few should profit over the rights and welfare of the many, and the country as a whole.
Matt, scickay -- thank you for doing all of this. Maureen - good luck with your husband luv!!

Mike Kelley,
When he posted, we were only in the 60s for RSVP. Those numbers have, thankfully, increased and will hopefully continue to do so.

Dooh! I figured it out when I took the time to audit your fine work. You combined several sentences into one grievance. Actually thanks for reducing the number. If we go the category and subcommittee route as I hope, we will end up with 7 (one per subcommittee) or so very strongly worded amendments each solving many grievances.
So basically the work of the subcommittees will be to reduce the grievances (and possibly reword them) and present one or two solutions in the form of an amendment or two. Then the CC 2.0 will result in keeping the best of the best as approved by a majority of the Congress.
I would like to take a stab at rewording the solutions into amendments.
Mike
