Frankly, those rates for three days of internet access are ridiculous. I don't want to pay those fees on principle.
I agree with all of you that it would be nice to have a live stream and a way to interact with the delegates who can't come in person next week (I might be one of them if finances do not work out.) However, at this 11th hour its looking less and less feasible. What we CAN do, and what I provided links to show a few posts back, is that we can chip in and afford a camera and the equipment needed, and get the proceedings on YouTube to share with the other delegates and everyone else.
Dawn, do you think it would be possible to do the YouTube recordings and then take "absentee" votes from the delegates that can't make it at the end of each day, provided that we can prove they are who they say they are (require a scan of their ID or some other identity verification?)

I think there may also be an option for the delegates to vote on allowing proxies even though the SC has decided against it. Once the SC agenda is voted down (and all indications seem to be it will be voted down), then the delegates are free to decide their own process/agenda, so the delegates may decide they want proxy voting.
