Nearly all of our differences stem from the fact that we disagree on solutions. The funny part of this is we convened to create consensus on grievances, not solutions.
Let us step back for a moment and focus on identifying the roots of the grievances. Why are they violations of fundamental rights and or the constitution? How can we phrase them to best highlight these violations?
These are the questions we need to be addressing.

I think there is virtually NO disagreement that the grievances AS WORDED by the committees and WITHOUT the statements that were just the topic/committee categories ARE OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
The problem is that we are trying to include ALL of those grievances into a document that we like to claim is representative of what the 99% would want addressed right away.
I would like for us to START with a declaration of the grievances FOCUSED only on the topics that garnered a high percentage of support when we voted the first time to see what we wanted to be included. These are the major starting points in addressing the ONE BIG THING grievance. Our government cannot continue to be sold to the highest bidder!!!!!
I LOVE the fact that we have so many amazing and important issues that we would like to see addressed, BUT I think that if we can consolidate behind the MAJOR issue of returning the government and our elections BACK into the hands of the 99% and out of the hands of the 1%, we have a chance of gaining MEGA-support and MEGA-attention. Once we have elected officials that LISTEN to WE the PEOPLE, then we will be able to win on the rest of the issues we care so deeply about.
THIS is the reason that I posted the poll about the possible PHASED in approach to our grievances...SO FAR, however, it has only had 7 people on this forum that have voted at all in the poll! I really wanted to try to get an understanding of whether my suggested approach is at all acceptable to this delegation. Please take time to vote in the poll and make comments below it about your feelings about it? Thanks so much. KJ Lowry

Why do we want solutions at this point?
if all grievances and no solutions was an option I would vote.
