Editors can make totally public (or private) questionnaires with any or all type of form items on 99online.us . The questionaires should be of national interest, but of course yours would be. If you wanted to partial-out just the responses from a certain subgroup responding to a public questionnaire (that is: subgroup of the public at large), you can have a final textbox for (and labeled) "delegate code" or whatever. Then you could look at the responses from just those people. Here is a crude example of a public questionnaire. (It uses only a couple of types of form items, but you can make questionnaires with any or all types of form items): mynichecomputing.org/drupal6/content/sample-public-form

Since I know many of you have a time-crunch. If you want to give me a questionnaire you write (produced in Word or whatever), I could make it go online and put it up on my site for you. You could then ask any sort of questions and get replies via textboxes, textareas, radio buttons, check boxes for multiple replies, drop-down 'select' boxes or any other type of form element.
I could make any number of questionnaires for you (any that would be of any general interest to 99%-er activists anyway) since many of you are so very busy now.
I also have a entire hidden CMS where you could build questionnaires just for your delegate group or for any sub-group that would be accessible ONLY knowing the password. The link to it would be from YOUR site only. LET ME KNOW (someone contact me.) (Using another feature of that hidden Content Management System, you could also have your own photo gallery or galleries that only you could put pictures on, but the whole world could see the pics (if you wanted them to) via (again) a link from YOUR site. Privately viewable galleries could also be made.)
I have already set ALL of this up for you. I just need the head person here to email me (brad@99online.us) and ask for the admin username and password and your regular group member's username and password, etc (<- one username and password for all; later, the admin can input usernames and assign passwords to people, and then assign each to one of the 99deluser groups, the other NON-admin groups). I will provide a few other details. (With a little exploration all the things you can make are quite self-explanatory, if normal not-too-technical CMS content production interfaces to do things do not scare you. This hidden CMS is a websitebaker CMS, the world's easiest to figure out and use: some say it takes 20 minutes to figure the whole thing out.) It is set up so all your members (via the common username and p/w) or the admin can make questionnaires or galleries or some other things.

I guess I should point out that the "some other things" you can make on your own sub-site I offer you (mentioned at the end of the message above) include regular web pages (either totally public OR private to your group). Your admin on this sub-site can also upload pictures to insert into those web pages. Of course, you link to those web pages from one of your own sites. The admin could also upload documents to share to his/her upload folder.

It sounds like you put a lot of work into this. Don't take it personally if people are sticking to the boards for now.

There are 3 other easy things (applications), pre-built for you that should be of use. Useful and easy and they already exist. <- Good combination. You may well like them. I have given all the information to Ruff Bear and you should see him or contact him about these 3 applications.

Yeah...definitely a lot of work, and I think we should definitely look into integrating this as we move forward...trouble is right now we're a week and a half out, and asking people to go to a separate place is a little much, even if it does offer improved functionality. Ideally we want a single integrated system. So I think perhaps this is something maybe some of the delegates can test out, ask questions, and give feedback on, and then perhaps we can have a conversation on here/at the Congress not just about that, but about all the logistics, organization, and other things that we may want to pursue with regards to building a website that is organized, functional, open, and has effective messaging and calls to action.

That is a good idea, the integration between the two.
While it might not be possible before the conference, these forums will still be active for all of the post-conference discussion. Maybe we can find a way to integrate/link the two sites to start making better use of both as our member base increases.

If you are interested in being able to safely get comments from everyone interested (including non-registered people) , for example, from your www.the99declaration.org/ site, here is some code you can put at the bottom of your page to make that happen: The code is at: nottoolate.info/fornndecl.html (just copy and paste). How it would run from your own page is demonstrated (real, live) via a link, which is also on that page. Alternatively, if you want to run the thing from your own site, there is also (on that same page) a link to a zip, which is the kit, with directions. You can open things up to we-the-people. Probably, now is not too soon.

The edit in place wiki I made for you runs from my site, but is for you only (only you have the password). A real-time, public, live chat known ONLY to 99%-er activists which you can use for getting questions from (and providing answers to) people not present has already also been set up. Other facilities for public or private questionnaires and for photo galleries and public or private web pages just for your group have also already been set up and they can be created or modified just by YOU. (A online outline builder to build all the html code to put onlines on web pages, IF you like to put up outlines, is at: mynichecomputing.org/outlineMaker.htm .) If you are the person who should find out about things and you want to know anymore about any of this (or the stuff in my last reply), and you want to phone me, Ruff Bear has my phone number. A responsible party is welcome to call.

Given what I have seen in the e-mails, on the boards, and on Facebook, I strongly recommend that the delegates select someone with some Web knowledge to contact Brad and have that person work with Brad to get everything up and running before you meet. Brad is extending the hand of friendship to you and is offering to do the formatting for whatever content you provide. Given the concerns I have seen among the delegates, I would think Brad's offer should be taken up to increase the chances you will have everything functioning in Philadelphia. Just my two cents.

ruff, I have been in contact with a member of the SC to help out on the website. I haven't gotten an OK yet, but I wanted to fix some of the outstanding issues that have not been fixed since the previous volunteer left.
