I want to thank Matt for his promoting me to a forum admin. I have some experience in both moderating and administering forums previously, so I volunteered to help.
Just so you all are aware, this is my basic philosophy for managing a forum:
1 - Every opinion has a right to be aired, as long as it is about the issue and not a personal attack.
2 - Respect is the key. I respect your right to free speech and to your own opinion. I expect everyone else to respect those same rights with each other and with me.
3 - Since we are all adults here (hopefully!), I'm not going to censor language. There are language filters on the forum however, so if you find your chosen invective turned into "*****", it wasn't me.
4 - Unfortunately, in any group situation, you occasionally encounter someone who refuses to follow even these basic rules, or who enters the group simply to stir up trouble. On the internet they are often called "trolls". In light of my promise not to interfere with free speech, I will not stop anyone from playing "devils advocate" or arguing a point.
HOWEVER, anyone who engages in abusive behavior toward another member of the forum will be disciplined in the following manner:
So, as long as you respect yourself and the other members of the forum (whether they are members of the SC, other delegates, or non-delegate visitors), then I will not ever interfere with your ability to speak freely. However, anyone who joins just to engage in personal attacks or verbal abuse will face the consequences outlined above.
Please feel free to comment if you disagree with any of this, or have any additional suggestions for how the forum might be administered. Matt and I will discuss any suggestions or disagreement and one of us will post a response with our decision as soon as it's been made.

- First Offense - Verbal warning via PM and removal of the offending post.
- Second Offense - 3 day suspension of posting privileges and removal of offending post
- Third Offense - 1 week banning from the forum & removal of offending post.
- Fourth Offense - permanent banning from the forum & removal of offending post.
