Hello, Steering Committee!
I want to thank you for choosing me to help write the Declaration and Petition for the Continental Congress 2.0
As a high school physics teacher in Texas that just wanted to make a bit of a difference in any way possible...you have made me feel like I might actually have accomplished at least a first baby-step in doing exactly that! I want you to know that I appreciate the opportunity you gave me and I hope the style committee and I did not let you down.
Thank you for posting the Declaration so quickly! I know that the delegates were getting VERY RESTLESS!
Back before the CC 2.O, I wrote a comment on the old website saying that on the welcome page www.the99declaration.org/how_can_i_help_get_money_out - it is A LOT embarrassing that the word Continental is misspelled in the main title at the top! It is still there and it is still embarrassing!
I also would like to ask the webpage designer or web master to please take down the list of old grievance suggestions AND topics and perhaps replace them with either the Petition or the Declaration that is now written and displayed on the "Draft Petition" tab.
I also believe that it will be easier to build public support if you were to answer and archive all comments made and questions asked on the website before the posting of the Declaration of the CC 2.0
Also, on the petition in Section V, solution 2. The second sentence there could use a rewrite...it is worded badly. It is rather redundant and I am sorry that we missed that. If you would like some suggestions, I can try to send some?
And lastly, is there any way that we can change some of the references to 99% to something more accurately defining who we were at the CC 2.0? Just a thought.
Thanks again for having confidence in me and the other "stylers" and for the opportunity to contribute to what MAY become a historic movement and document!!
Sincerely,
KJ Lowry
