I definitely think we need a different voting system for the assembly. Why can we not use "approval" voting as suggested in my earlier post and then the best proposals will be the grievances with the highest approval numbers! This makes much more sense than being able to put all of your "X" votes on one grievance if you choose to do so...that could really skew the results!

It's a moot point now, but apparently there are somewhere south of 80 delegates actually attending (not sure if this number includes the members of the SC and volunteers or not), which means the electronic voting system was even more of a waste than we thought. So was the price of renting out that huge convention center.
Paper ballots would have worked just fine - even if there actually was a vote on all "100 grievances" (even though most of the 100 were proposed solutions, not complaints).
It would seem that those of us who were truly serious about working on something meaningful may have to continue working together to plan something on our own, or in conjunction with other Occupy groups, as I'm afraid what will come out of this meeting will not be what many of us hoped for when we signed up to be delegates.

If you liked the election system, then you would have loved the keypad voting system. It was nearly as effective.
Plus, you had to listen to elevator music that constituted cruel and unusual punishment while you were failing to get your vote to register.
