The block of CC2.0 rooms for $109 at the Hilton Garden Inn Philadelphia Center City are take. They have rooms with price ranges from $127.49 to $149, you may want to talk to someone at the Hilton to know what you are getting.

Any idea how large that block was? The meager discount makes me think it was around 20-30, but it's the Hilton, in Philadelphia, for the Fourth of July, so it could have been large and they still charged that amount. Hard to tell...

I was not able to talk to the group reservation person at the Hilton, just the reservation clerk, who did not know how many rooms where in the CC2.0 block. Since the original projection of delegates was about 500 there should have been more than 30 rooms.

Well, if you assume 4 people to a room and 500 delegates, you get 125 rooms. I doubt that the Hilton would agree to hold that many rooms without a down payment of some sort. Not for that time-frame, at least. Also, if the block were that large, I would expect a significant reduction in price (80 bucks?). The idea is that they are nearly guaranteed to fill those rooms. Typically, if you don't fill at least 80% of the rooms, you are on the hook for the remaining rooms in the block. Yet another reason that I doubt that the block was that large -- Pollock wouldn't have wanted to be liable for $30,000+ worth of hotel rooms.

Originally I heard we had the Convention Center 24 hours a day. Then I heard we have to be out by 5pm. If persons wanted to pull all nighters and could, that might be an option. Occupy the convention center?
