My name is Harry Brace, a delegate for the NC 6th District. I have watched and this organization grow and morph over the past 6 months and I must say I am disappointed.
The latest and most troubling of disappointments is the election of delegates. Not only could the organization get enough interested citizens to run for the delegate offices, but of the 3 million ballots sent, there were only 1319 votes by my count. That is only .0439 % of ballots sent. If we compare that to the US population we are meant to represent it comes to 0.00042 % of the US population. To makes matters worse, since not enough votes were cast, all candidates get to come to the party.
We as an organization look amateurish andnot to be taken seriously based solely on our lack of ability to drum up public support, not to mention the lack of support and disavowment of every OWS and every other 99% group I have talked to or been involved in.
It is my fervent belief that when the Congress, President and Supreme Court see this, our grievances will be simply discarded with the rest of the days shredded recycling.
I have many other grievances with the organization but the election and it lack of proper representation is the straw that broke my back.
Given my feelings, I am hereby asking to be removed as delegate for NC 6th district. I'm sorry for the other person that voted for me, but I cannot be involved with an organization that I feel is just as broken as the government it is trying to fix.

Its not perfect Harry, but nothing is.
Please re-consider. As far as I know I'm the only person from NC who is going to make it to Philly for this. Worst case (say 10 people show up) is that we get some grievances agreed on and then go enjoy the city during the 4th of July week. This is an awesome vacation at the very least...

Believe me Harry, A LOT of us share your feelings, and are working to fix the organizational structure. So far however, it has been an uphill battle.

What Harry mentions above is concerning. I just posted the following question on the www.facebook.com/The99PercentDeclaration# web site. What Harry mentions above is concerning. Anyone know the answer to this two-part question? We need a POLL on this Matthew. "Congratulations to all for achieving this milestone of having a proposed Schedule and Agenda issued to the delegates. The Steering Committee is commended for it’s time and effort in preparing this critically important guiding document for t...he convention. I have one two-part question now (not relating to proposed Schedule and Agenda): To date, how many delegates have responded to your RSVP and also how many of the responding delegates have confirmed that they will be in attendance at the CC2.0? Thanks".

Harry, If my memory serves me right the original CC met in a hot, humid building for days and we haven't even started meeting in our large air conditioned facility before you gave up. I will save you a seat in case you change your mind. Mike
